Straight Up Stick Workout DVD-R

Note - this workout will be available in March as a bonus on Gin's new Salsa Walk DVD. New DVD will be produced with a glass master, rather than DVD-R.

Straight Up Stick Preview

This great 30 minute workout is designed to improve all around posture. With some targeted strengthening and a special focus on stretching the tighter muscles of the front of the body, this one needs to be in everyone's rotation - performed at least once per week.

It provides terrific benefits for those who tend to overtrain the stronger muscles of the front - it's like a 30 minute dynamic stretch session!

It's also particularly beneficial for people who spend long hours hunched over at a desk. Performed with a soothing mix of music, this could easily be done on a lunch break.

This unique workout is specifically designed to increase strength in the weaker muscle groups and stretch / elongate the tighter stronger muscles of the front of the body to improve posture. This "back-side strengthener / front side stretcher" workout helps to offset typical imbalances - with the use of a simple dowel or stick.

DVD-R NOTE

This workout is DUPLICATED on demand thru Amazon's Create Space service. This means it is DVD-R format. Please check your system prior to ordering to make sure you can use this in your player!

Customer Review

10/11/07

I like all of Gin's workouts but I'm especially fond of routines that make me work in new ways - and that don't require a lot of equipment. Her new "Straight Up Stick" workout seemed to offer both of those things so I downloaded it to my Windows laptop.

Like any good at-home exerciser I watched the video all the way through before trying it. I thought, smugly, "That doesn't look hard, looks really stretchy." I was right about the second part, but I got the smugness smacked out of me on the first "reverse squat" when I fell on my butt! The next challenge involved balancing on one leg and this is something I'll need time to perfect. I have a major imbalance between my legs because of chronic illiotibal band syndrome. I feel pretty confident that "Straight Up Stick" will help in that area.

By the way, if you don't have a stick but you do have a Bella Bar, I find my unloaded bar works great as my stick.

It's all about what you put into your workouts, so listen to Gin and work like you mean it!
